Learn how to arrange drum and bass music with key concepts such as using call and response and various bass phrases to create a story. We demonstrate this with a minimal dnb track akin to music from Mefjus, Enei, Skeptical and Critical Music. This is Part 1 of the series.

To show you how to arrange drum and bass music, I first walk you through key concepts on arranging dance music by introducing one of the most popular drum & bass song structures. We then learn techniques such as call and response, removing certain sounds and adding effects to really create a strong 16 bar segment otherwise called a block. By the end of this video you should be on your way to creating a strong drum & bass song. Stay tuned for part 2 where we use the 16 bar block to arrange the entire song.
