Starting things off proper is the Rearranged EP by London-based producer Drifta, which holds a selection of various styles of Drum & Bass, from nice and sunny flavours to
tougher vibes. Drifta is now one of the scene's most prolific producers; his studio churns out an extremely wide array of audio prowess:
from hip hop and electro, to bassline and trance; all delivered with proficiency and finesse.
His fresh sound, comprised of rich trancy textures, dirty bass, pounding drums, and hauntingly beautiful vocals, is a direct result of his open-minded approach to all styles of music.
Perfect for the label, we say!

Drifta feat. Emily Grace - Rearranged
Combining trance and stabs breakbeats, this one is a smasher in true tongue-in-cheek fashion. Emily Grace on the vocals rounds this one up nicely.

Drifta feat. Sanna Hartfield - Sorry
Keeping up the sunny vibes, this liquid roller is already a hit with the ladies. Singalong time!

Drifta - The Gate
Stepping things up a notch, rolling basslines and a unique balearic feel go down extremely well on this one.

Chaos Theory feat. Abbi Symes - Runaway Paradise
Together with his production partner Mikey C under the alias Chaos Theory, Drifta churns out another vocal tune to ring in the summer season. Niceness!

‘Rearranged’ is the latest EP from Drum and Bass producer and DJ, Drifta, after his cracking release with vocalist Jaz entitled ‘One of a Kind’ back in 2009. Sticking with his style of big vocals, resonating pads and punchy drumlines, Drifta’s production techniques are refined ones and this album is no exception from his usual style of Drum and Bass music.

The title track ‘Rearranged’ is by far the highlight of the EP, with a fantastic vocal from singer Emily Grace. The entire track seems to flow around Grace’s voice and all of the elements come together to form a treat for the ears. The ‘party time’ styling’s of this track compliment it’s growling bassline terrifically.

Slightly overshadowed by the aforementioned ‘Rearranged’ is the other gem on this EP, ‘Sorry.’ Once again, with Drifta’s seemingly huge army of good looking vocalists, it’s no surprise that another massive vocal has been provided, but this time by Sanna Hartfield. With much more of a chilled vibe, ‘Sorry’ provides the wind down to digital A-side of the EP, with the B side providing some of the seemingly darker tracks including ‘The Gate’ and the track ‘Runaway Paradise’ as the outfit ‘Chaos Theory.’

‘The Gate’ whilst not my favourite track on the EP still provides a good listening experience if you are into you rolling tracks and big bad basslines, although different, this track does not seem out of place at all.

Drifta’s other project, Chaos Theory consists of him and artist, DJ and Label Owner (Soul Aspiration Records), Mikey C. The duo provided the track ‘Runaway Paradise’ for the EP and as expected there is yet more fairly big vocals on the agenda, this track seems like more of an ending and bonus to the EP than anything else, with nothing particularly unique about it alongside the other tracks on offer. Despite this, it is still a good track and could most probably get a party moving along with the others.

Overall, if you are into your party sounds and like a bit of Drum and Bass, ‘Rearranged’ won’t set you wrong.
