After taking a serious break Sidechain-Music is back with a string of release. Starting with the "Traveller EP" by Audio Habitat.

“Reap what you sow” is just the credo for the 4-headed team that is Audio Habitat. The boys
churned out so many tunes lately, now it has to be the(ir) time. Autumn will see them lift off
into release-rotation. Becoming part of DJ SS’ “Formation Family” they furthermore keep it
familiar with Sidechain Music! Their EP offers a wide range of gripping tunes.


“Traveller”
No funk needs to be liquid… “Traveller” sees Audio habitat laying down cool funk vibes,
complementing chords and reminiscences of the late 90s D&B of Optical & Co. The beat
marches strong and keeps the tune far from fluff. Still it owes a lot to the lovely monotony of
repetitive housechords. Keeping it deep and uplifting at one time. A universal winner!

“London Tube”
A dubplate favourite with many important DJs from Loxy to Bryan and DJ SS “London Tube” is
taking you underground. Some call it ‘minimal, yet there’s much more to this track. The
relentlessly rollin’ beat, the cutting railsounds and the ever mutating bassline-workout make it an
instant classic with great feel and truth to it. This one rolls like a train. And this train certainly
won’t stop at any station to be honest with you!

“Periscope”
Will science-fiction ever be souled out? Nah, we don’t think so. Here the belief in the D&B
futurism sounds cineastically modern, with yet touch of oldschool-vibes and blends coming from
the euphoria that is in those stabs and vocals. Yes, THOSE stabs that we think no true junglist
will ever be tired of!

“Blizzard”
Whats a blizzard? Erm… we guess something noone wants to be on the inside of, right!?
Opposed to this tune that u want to have inside the bag. This gnarly bassline monster is sturdy
and keeps moving aside everything in it’s way. Its’ near, It’s here… and there’s no getting out.
Yet, as soon as you master this one u can sweep any floor blizzard style!
