After its successful two-year anniversary, Soulful Drum & Bass night Fever will return to LVC on Saturday the 23rd of June. With performances from the British duo Commix and rising Dutch stars Icicle and Switch, the line-up is another tasty one indeed.

Headliners of the night are the Cambridge-based production team Commix. The duo, which have been knocking out tunes together since 2003, have released singles and remixes (including one for Bebel Gilberto) on renowned labels such as Hospital, Good Looking, Liquid V, Creative Source and Breakbeat Kaos. Recently Commix signed with Goldie’s legendry Metalheadz label. Here they will soon release their yet untitled debut album. Expectations are high with Commix smashers such as ‘Talk to Frank’ and ‘Electric’ destroying dance floors worldwide. Expect mighty Commix bangers and a deliciously deep selection for that rolling edgy sound the duo is known for.

Apart from Commix, two Dutch artists will also treat the Fever crowd to some high quality beats: Icicle and Switch. Seen as the future of (Dutch) Drum & Bass by many, the two are currently blowing up internationally. Icicle, whose productions are inspired by artists like D-Bridge, Commix and Jonny L has signed to well-known labels such as Subtitles, Shogun, Critical and Med School. Switch’s productions are more Jazz and Soul flavoured. The Arnhem native has signed to well known labels such as Soul:R, Spearhead, Rubiks and Fokuz. For both artists, this is only the beginning. Expect deep, cutting-edge beats that are as bass heavy as they are Soulful!

Fever hosts Lenzman, Scarr and Dan Stezo complete the line-up. Apart from the progressive, Soulful Drum & Bass that Fever is known for, the night also stimulates the other senses with catchy visuals by VJ Elry, Asian finger food, Nag Champa incense and a cocktail bar. There will also be Fever merchandise for sale on the night.

After two soulful years Fever is firmly rooted in the Soulful Drum & Bass ape. By maintaining its musical integrity and original party-philosophy it has grown to become a night which is unique in the Dutch Drum & Bass environment. With its fresh ideas the organisation has managed to pull an increasing number of international visitors. And with line-ups such as this on the future is looking increasingly bright!

das wäre aufjedenfall ne überlegung wert !
3 top acts vom feinsten und auch von lenzman hab ich nur guten output mitbekommen bislang
