Für Cycles holt Primer das Dub-Echo aus dem Keller. Atmosphärisches mit einem kleinen Schuss Detroit-Sounds, die sich mit Reecebässen und Bleeps wie aus guten alten Acht-Bit-Zeiten in einer wunderbar melancholischen Melodie vereinen.

To create Cycles, Primer dusted off the good old dub echo machine. Atmospheric tune with a bit of Detroit sounds paired with a melodic reece bassline combined with bleeps from the good old eight bit days combine in a beautifully melancholic melody.



P.I. ist ein gerader Stomper mit tiefen Analog-Bässen, Vocoder-Beats und wirbelnden Percussions und Fred am Mike. Ein Track, der auch ohne wild gebrochene Beats nach Vorne geht.

P.I. is a straight stomper with deep analog basslines, vocoded beats and whirling percussions. On the mike: electronic vocalist Fred. This track does not need wild breaks to gain enough momentum to move the dancefloor.

Dj und Produzent Primer kennt die Drum and Bass-Szene des Ruhrgebiets seit Mitte der 90er-Jahre. Die Hinterlassenschaften der Schwerindustrie und die Metropole, die sich daraus immer wieder neu erfindet, sind seine Inspiration. Die schnellen Breakbeats, tiefen Bässe und schwebenden Melodien des Drum and Bass sowie dessen Vielschichtigkeit versteht er als den Klang des Herzschlags der Region: Schnell, abwechslungsreich und doch harmonisch. Primer gehört zu den Main-Playern des Netlabels Maximumbreaks.

DJ and producer Primer knows the Drum&Bass scene in the Ruhr area since the mid nineties. The remains of the smokestack industries, the megacity that have risen from it's ashes and reinvents itself over and over inspire him in his creative works. He conceives the fast breakbeats, deep hitting basses and spheric melodies as well as the diversity of Drum&Bass as the sonic representation of the Ruhr area's heartbeat - fast and full of variations, but still in perfect harmony.
Primer is one of the main players behind the scenes of the Maximumbreaks netlabel.
