Epoc Live:
Dubbed “The White Stripes of Live Drum and Bass” this band is no ordinary act. Getting the crowd in a hyped up frenzy they seamlessly mix their set featuring the full range of sounds from jump-up to deep/dark d’n’b with snare cracking beats, rip raw bass and vocals to rattle anyone’s brain. Despite not officially releasing any material yet, they have already managed to break through the drum and bass scene due to their exceptional live performances.
Gigs:
Epoc Live have recently finished a 40 date UK Tour from 27/09/06 through to 13/11/06 playing at some of the biggest club nights alongside major names within the drum and bass scene.
Recent events they have played at have been:
Radio 1 event, live with Fabio and Grooverider.
Jungle Nations 10th Birthday with Dillinja and 808 State.
Goldsmith University, with Pendulum.
Virus alongside Roni Size and Dynamite MC.
Tuesday Club with A.I.and Ed Rush and Optical.
South West Drum’n’Bass Awards with Andy C and Nicky Blackmarket.
Radical Beats with Bassline Smith and MC Eksman.
They have also played alongside….
London Electricity, Adam F, Ray Keith, and bands such as Miloopa,
London Break Beat Orchestra, Mo Foe, Blackout and Zion Train.
There is a European tour happening in June/July and an American/Canadian tour in August/September. The band will also be playing various festivals over the summer. Don’t forget they can be double booked (within a reasonable travelling distance) so don’t be deterred by the dates already on the Myspace, contact us and we will see what we can arrange.
Set Up:
The band’s set up is very simple. As a promoter you do not have to provide anything. They come fully equipped with their own engineer, instruments, mixing desk, in ear monitoring. Which makes Epoc Live’s sound comparable to a produced record. This means that there are no additional sound requirements, the band can literally turn up at a venue and plug and play. Their set up is small enough to travel by air without incurring any costs. The band can fit in a space as small as 9ft wide and 6ft deep
