you might or might not have heard about the "junglistic sistaz" - formerly it was a
female dnb crew from/in austria (vienna), but it's going to get INTERNATIONAL
soon. the sense of the whole project changes....

JUNGLISTIC SISTAZ will become an international platform for active, female
junglists - DJs, MCs, promoters, producers, dancers, bookers, journalists,
visualists, graphic designers,... - all ACTIVE females who are in the dnb scene/bizz
for a while now and do their thing on a QUALITY LEVEL.

The website (http://www.junglistic-sistaz.com) is going to be re-designed over
the next couple of months and in the future it will contain artist profiles of MANY
MANY MANY female junglists, a message board and/or mailinglist to swap
ideas/experiences/etc...

JUNGLISTIC SISTAZ should become a quality reference for women in drum&bass.

Right now, I'm looking for more women who want to participate in being part of it,
because I cannot write to every single lady out there personally and I'm sure that
there are still many out there who I don't know, have never heard of them and
that are brilliant artists or contributors. So if you want to participate, please write
an e-mail to: info@junglistic-sistaz.com

I've already got profiles from Alley Cat (Skunkrock Rec, UK), Lady MC (UK), Adi-J
(Bassground, Amsterdam), Sahara (Intrauterin, Hamburg), Levi (Mute,
Switzerland), Nora (Promoter, Austria), MC Terra (Vienna), Miss Vegas (Vienna)
etc.

The whole sense of the project is:
It's NOT a feminist or political thing at all, it should just unite female junglists
worldwide, because the prescence of active women in drum&bass is still
underrated. How often have we read threads like "are there any (good) lady
producers/djs"? there ARE DEFINITLY!!! The project doesn't want to exclude man
and it should not be seen negatively as "oh, it's a ladies thing!", the purpose of
this project is just a positive, uniting documentation of women in drum&bass.

The history:
"Junglistic Sistaz" was founded in 1999 by MC Terra & myself in Austria. Since
then we played at numerous parties all over Austria, in Germany, Switzerland and
Hungary. On our journeys we met more & more female junglists - djs, mcs,
promoters, ... big up to all of them. This year I met a very talented graphic
designer - Miss Vegas - who helps me realise this massive project I always had in
my mind when I started the crew back in 1999 with her webdesign. Big up!
JUNGLISTIC SISTAZ should get a QUALITY name for female junglists wordwide,
that's my goal.

For all who are interested, just have a look at our old website that is still online :

kickass! i'm interested!

btw I'm on the lookout for some serious female junglists in Berlin! It's not that I want to hang out only with girls, or that I would have more in common with someone just because they are a girl, but it would be nice, you know???? Everyone girl i meet at a party seems to be there because of their boyfriend.

junglist-in with lipstick...
